I think Rides With Strangers is a gold mine waiting to be discovered, The amount of lack of information while we exchange our recourses for safety make for a very stressful experience. The concept is horrifying. Its one of the only games that makes players feel that isolation is a lot more safe than knowing there's someone's here being "Friendly" . I think this games audio could be used in a lot of awesome ways, such as the scream in the trunk in the demo? That was amazing. It mixed a sense of dread along with a sense of unease. I cant wait to see what you have planned. Take your time, I really love what you did the demo mixing the lack-of info with the creepy voice acting. All of it struck a cord. Take time to make this and i believe this could genuinely be one of the scariest horror experiences people would have the pleasure of playing. Also take as much time as you need, Rome wasn't built in a day.

Hey man, I came across this video because I randomly decided to search for RWS to see if anything new came out about it, as I was extremely intrigued by the demo (also loved WTTG, didn't know until now it was the same creator!). Very much my type of horror with the realism of it, things that can feasibly happen are so much scarier than just ghosts and monsters - also a fan of games like Closing Shift and Parasocial by Chilla's Art for the same reason, that's how you make legit scary stuff! Anyway, it's totally understandable that you have big ambitions for RWS and I'm glad you're taking the time to make sure it turns out as good as it can possibly be, but I wanted to give some input as an audience member. Perhaps the ultra-realism of games like those by Supermassive that you mention isn't necessary? It's extremely resource demanding as you say, and honestly I'm not sure it actually improves the experience. I honestly think that the lower levels of realism in character models and animation actually *contributes* to the creepiness, in a sort of uncanny valley type of way. Like in the RWS demo with the priest, the way he almost robotically turns his head towards you makes me feel even more uneasy than if he were to have a very natural fluid mo-capped human movement, you know? Of course this is just my subjective opinion, it's your project that you should realize in the way you see fit, just wanted to give my two cents about how ultra-realism isn't necessarily always the best path for horror and how it can sometimes even make things less creepy!
